About

Formed in 1929 and comprised of a cross section of society from all backgrounds and walks of life, Whitefriars Lodge is a London Lodge with members from the North London vicinity and the surrounding local area including Enfield, Barnet, Southgate, Winchmore Hill, Palmers Green as well as further afield. Originally meeting at Great Queen Street in Central London, the Lodge moved its meetings to the Southgate Masonic Centre in North London during the 1980’s where many of its members lived and worked at the time. Traditionally made up from members of the telecommunications and building industries, our membership has widened to include a broad mix of career backgrounds and outside interests. We are a very friendly and good-humoured Lodge with many social events taking place throughout the year such as an annual clay pigeon shoot, days out at the races (Ascot, Newmarket, Sandown), evenings at Romford dog track, boat trips, curry evenings to name but a few (as well as the more traditional Masonic social events such as Ladies Festivals).

Whitefriars meet four times a year on the 2nd Wednesdays in February, April (Installation), October and December
